LLYC celebrates 50 years of super-charged, God-inspired fun. Sara Groves, Andy Gullahorn, Daniel Makins, Jill Phillips, and others led worship and teaching and song writing at Family Camp. And Dwight Lacy retired from the H. E. Butt Foundation after an incredible 37-years helping the Foundation move toward better financial stewardship!

Adventures in Education

Meet New Echo Valley Director Tom Bowyer

For Tom Bowyer, summer camp meant 10-15 mile hikes in the rain and summit hikes up Mt. Marcy, the highest peak in New York State. As the new director at Echo Valley, Bowyer will be encouraging young teenagers to have adventures of their own.

Preserving the Lodge’s Heart and Soul

Unlike some builders, the people who are remaking Laity Lodge did not start from scratch. Their job has been to to find the heart and soul of the existing building and accommodate it—educating themselves on original intent, listening to the landscape, fully grasping both the legacy and mission of Laity Lodge.

Although the first session of Laity Lodge Youth Camp hosted only 15 campers, LLYC now offers several thousand campers the chance to experience the Best Two Weeks every summer.

Making Space at Family Camp

Last fall, a woman called ahead of a weekend retreat with Laity Lodge Family Camp to say that although her family was still coming, they would be minus one. She would arrive with her kids and brother, but no longer her husband.
