We view giving as an essential part of transformation and renewal. When someone makes a contribution, we hope it is a thoughtful, prayerful, and joyful experience. Your gifts, without a doubt, help touch and change lives.
Our financial model relies primarily on our endowment as the source of our operating expenses, supplemented by program revenues from our three fee-based programs. The endowment has been growing since the Foundation’s inception in the early 1930s, with greater growth in recent years due to the ongoing generosity of the Butt family. These gifts, combined with support from donors and capital campaigns, enable our programs to grow and thrive.
In recent years, Deborah and David Rogers have articulated a fresh mission for the Foundation, one that lays out not just our reason for being, but our key focus areas, our values, and the overall shape of our work. This mission is rooted in our historic legacy, our core commitments, and our faith.
Your end-of-year giving helps our scholarship recipients in life-changing ways.
Since the Foundation’s birth in 1933, our roots and our core commitments have remained unchanged. Yet each generation of Foundation leadership has expressed its mission in different ways based on the language of the day and the needs and opportunities placed before us in the Canyon and in our local communities.
As the Foundation continues to align its programs with its Mission, we are continually analyzing how best to invest resources to deliver the most impact to our programs, strategic partners, and guests.
